Aftercare for your Brazilian Blowout
v Please remember that this is not a permanent treatment. How long the treatment will last you depends on a number of factors: the texture of your hair, how often you wash, the number of times the treatment has been applied before. You will learn to know when it is time to repeat the treatment because your hair will slowly revert.
v Wait at least 2 - 3 weeks to receive any hair colour service, though colour can be applied immediately prior to this service.
v Brazilian Keratin Treatment is washed out more rapidly by sodium chloride and chlorine. Sodium chloride (salt) is in sea water and chlorine is in most swimming pools and spas. So if your going to swim, and want to keep the BKT effect for as long as possible, please cover your hair.
v Do not wet your hair for at least two hours. Do not shampoo your hair for at least one day. It is safe for you to shampoo as soon as a couple of hours after your treatment but after all that work, you should spend the rest of that day enjoying your gorgeous hair, not washing it again!
v It is very important to use shampoo WITHOUT SALT, because the salt opens the cuticles and will cause the hair to lose the results of the Brazilian Keratin treatment. So please make sure you use shampoo and conditioner that do not contain Sodium Chloride. We offer two product lines including an organic bioactive shampoo and conditioner set so if you are unable to find a suitable shampoo and conditioner let your BKT specialist know.
v Do not place pins, clips, elastic wraps, headbands, sunglasses, etc. in your hair for at least two hours.
v Do not use any additional hair products for at least one day.
